The Swiss PowerBuilder User Group is organizing its next meeting on Wednesday, November 30, 2016.

They will welcome again in Zurich Bruce Armstrong who will demonstrate how PowerBuilder Classic 12.6 applications can be used to access any database using OData, then will explain how PowerBuilder Classic can communicate with WCF web services and finally, will demonstrate Desktop App Converter on PowerBuilder Classic applications. 

Their second speaker Michael Kramer, will present ORCA for all those of us thinking about improving their existing automated builds or creating new ones and streamlining the release process.

Call for sessions open for Charlotte 2016!

Join next year's Charlotte PowerBuilder conference... as a speaker! This not only includes free registration, but it's also a chance to contribute to the PowerBuilder community and share and showcase your achievements!
 
The year's conference will focus primarily on technical sessions, and encourages intermediate level sessions.
 
The following announcement and details come from Matt Balent, the man behind the past years' conferences:
 
"Now is your chance to 'feed' the PowerBuilder Community! Showcase your achievements in front of your peers - help us grow through exposure to new thinking and updated ideas. We are keenly interested in topics which demonstrate how to push the traditional PowerBuilder envelope through integration of third party (or internally developed) APIs and control sets, bringing a more 'modern' look and feel to older applications, and how mobility and the cloud have impacted your systems development.
 
Sessions need to be educational and technically focused. Intermediate level topics are encouraged.
 
Session length may be either 60, 90, or 120 minutes. Simpler, single concept type presentations should be limited to sixty minutes; 
in depth technical discussions or detailed analysis/examples would be more appropriate for a 90 or 120 minute slot.
 
Speakers must be available to present during the entire span of the conference (May 6-8, 2015). 
We offer complimentary registration to approved speakers.
 
As a whole we can only get stronger by coming together and sharing ideas, know-how, and experiences."
